About ToddShipley

I'm a singer/songwriter from Ohio. I've been playing for twenty years, and just starting to get used to it. I am a king of open mics, and I loath karaoke. I'm always willing to work from the ground up, so being on stage is second nature. My first stage appearances were as a stuntman/actor in an outdoor drama. I was seventeen at the time and never really got off stage. I have a degree in Geography and have lived in both Europe and South America. I have had many a job; from substitute teaching to satellite mapping. I adapt readily and my mind is always racing. I'm a soul searcher and seek to challenge existence itself. I look for potential in people. In any given conversation, charm lasts about the first five minutes, after that, you better know something...I laugh at myself, and love criticism. As far as my music goes....it's delivered with absolute sincerity...and I'll either move your feet or your mind, and hopefully....both. I attribute success to people who listen, like my friends, and people who have no choice, like my students. I only want credit for changing into who I choose to be, and allowing you the same freedom. Form follows function, which side do you see yourself on?
